UGA News Online [3]

Your #9 Georgia Lady Bulldogs are calling all Atlanta area Bulldog Clubs and their families and friends to join them at Philips Arena for an exciting afternoon of women’s college basketball. The Lady Bulldogs, predicted by WomensCollegeHoops.com to win the SEC this season, play Georgia Tech [4] in the second game of the Russell Athletic Shootout on Saturday, December 27, at 3:00PM and need all Dawg fans in the area to give them a “Home Away from Home” advantage against the Lady Jackets. Come enjoy this opportunity to cheer on one of UGA’s most successful sports teams.

The Lady Bulldogs return four starters and five additional letter winners from last year's 21-10 team, which reached the "Sweet 16" round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to top-seeded Duke, 66-63. They also add three high-school All-Americans to their roster this season.

The Lady Bulldogs also invite all Dawg fans to help them celebrate Coach Andy Landers’ 25th year at the University of Georgia. During his tenure, Georgia has compiled one of the most impressive competitive resumes in women's college basketball. Landers has averaged 24.4 wins a year, which ranks second among all active Division I coaches with as much tenure, and he enters this season 15 wins shy of his 600th victory at Georgia. The Lady Bulldogs have appeared in 20 of 22 NCAA Tournaments and are one of only six teams to reach the Final Four five times.
