ATHENS-Fans around the University of Georgia on football Saturdays are urged to take notice of several campus buildings that will no longer be open to the general public due to new safety and security measures.

A handful of campus buildings that were once open on football Saturdays will be closed to the general public. This change is necessary due to the inability to secure all parts of these buildings once a portion of them are opened to the public. For the safety of the public and the security of our facilities, this is a difficult but necessary step.

Additional portable toilet units will be placed on campus to make up for the building closures.

Please note the following campus buildings are OPEN to the public on gameday:

VISUAL ARTS

SOUTH CAMPUS:

ADERHOLD
BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES
CONNER
GRADUATE STUDIES
INTRAMURAL FIELDS
POULTRY SCIENCE
STEGEMAN COLISEUM

Fans traveling together in large groups may use a reserved lot to park their vehicles. Groups using 12-passenger vans or larger can park in a lot on River Road near the Ramsey Student Center. Accommodations for this lot must be made by the Tuesday prior to each game by contacting the Athletic Department at 706-542-7944.

Again this year, Sanford Stadium policies prohibit certain items from entering the venue. Please leave unnecessary items at home. Bag checks will take place for fans that must bring something with them. Signs, banners or flags that are offensive to individuals and teams, that are not in good taste, that block the view of spectators or cause a safety hazard will not be allowed. The hanging or displaying of signs on stadium walls, bleacher areas, ramps or an area of proximity to the stadium is prohibited as a safety precaution.
