Did you know?

ULM's athletic teams have been known as the Indians since the school began as Ouachita Parish Junior College in 1931. It is believed the nickname was taken because of the legend of the Ouachita Indians, a sub-tribe of the Caddo Indians who supposedly roamed and raided along the Ouachita River basin.
